Once upon a time, in the heart-shaped state of Nebraska, often called the "Cornhusker State" but we prefer "Bookworm State", a group of kid whiz-bangers were on a fantastical journey. Now, don't be mistaken, these weren't your ordinary bambinos. No, they were the stupendous, spectacular, super-duper Reading Raccoons of Nebraska! These lit-loving tykes had a captain, an unusual yet endearing character named Captain Bibliosaurus! A dinosaur, you ask? Yes indeed, a humongously uproarious dinosaur with spectacles on his snout, and a red and white polka-dotted bowtie to boot. Do you know what was the most mind-boggling thing about him? He had books instead of scales! Every conceivable genre, from spine-tingling mysteries to laugh-out-loud comedies, were represented on his gigantic, walking library of a body. The Reading Raccoons of Nebraska were no ordinary kids, oh no! They could devour whole books faster than you could say 'Cornhusker'! And Captain Bibliosaurus, the bookiest dino you ever did see, was their guide on this journey of words, worlds, and wonders. Each day, they'd all gather in a cozy nook in the heart of Nebraska, surrounded by endless fields of golden corn swaying like an ocean in the breeze. With Captain Bibliosaurus leading the pack, they'd dive headfirst into their books, imagining themselves as heroes, astronauts, pirates, princesses, and even popcorn poppers! They traveled to spooky castles, enchanted forests, the depths of the ocean, and even to the moon, all within the pages of their books. You could hear giggles ripple through the cornfields as the Reading Raccoons of Nebraska read about the mischievous antics of their book characters. So, if you ever find yourself in the 'Bookworm State,' look for a group of kids laughing amidst the cornfields, led by a dinosaur made of books. You've found the Reading Raccoons of Nebraska, the heartiest book-lovers in the land!

DEBUT Creative Center & Theater-Studio is a dual-language (English–Russian) program where kids explore creativity, confidence, and self-expression. From theater and dance to fencing and stage performance, children can try new activities and discover their unique talents. Small class sizes let instructors give each child personalized attention, helping them feel comfortable, supported, and confident as they learn. Kids build artistic skills while also developing social confidence, teamwork, and poise on stage and in everyday life. Our programs celebrate each child’s individuality, combining fun, hands-on experiences with a focus on personal growth—all while keeping Russian language and culture an important part of the curriculum.
