In the wonderfully whimsical state of NE, also known as Nebraska, a group of exceptional kids engage in the enchantingly fun Sportsfield activities. Picture if you will, a flat land filled with cornfields, bisected by the majestic Platte River and dotted with bustling cities and peaceful small towns. Now, imagine this land teeming with a wild variety of kids, each possessing a spark of creativity and a bottomless well of energy. Let's call them the 'Nebraska Nippers'. The Nebraska Nippers are known far and wide for their colorful personalities and their love for Sportsfield activities. They can be seen, come rain or shine, sprinting on the track, splashing in the pool, or dancing on the soccer field. There's Suzie, the fastest squirrel-chaser in all of NE, who can outrun even the wind! Then, there's Billy, who can balance a basketball, a watermelon, and a sleeping cat on his head and still score a goal. Not to forget dear Molly, who can swim a whole lap while passionately debating the nutritional value of corn. Watching over these Nebraska Nippers is an imaginary yet incredibly cool character named Whistle Wally. Wally's a giant, candy-corn eating, rainbow-colored bison with a shiny whistle in place of his left horn. With each toot from his whistle, a child either kicks a ball, dives into the pool, or crosses the finish line. He's a firm but fair coach, a reliable friend, and an endless source of funny jokes and hilarious antics that keep the Nebraska Nippers laughing, playing, and dreaming big on their Sportsfield adventures.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.

Our campers enjoy a wide range of activities which allow them to develop confidence in the outdoors. From swimming and boating to archery and fishing, there is something for everyone. All activities are supervised by YMCA-trained professionals who help facilitate a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. YMCA Camp Kitaki offers more than just fun activities. Our campers also have the opportunity to get to know themselves better and develop meaningful relationships with their peers. We strive to promote positive identity, relationships, values, and skills in our campers through activities, group discussions, and mentoring. We believe in the power of the overnight camp experience and the potential it has to help campers grow and learn. We are dedicated to creating a positive and supportive environment for campers, parents, and alumni to be a part of.
