For over 60 years, the Randy Trousdell Gymnastics Center has been providing children in Tallahassee with the opportunity to participate in gymnastics. The 27,000 square foot facility offers plenty of amenities, including two competitive floor areas, floor pits, a separate preschool gym, dance studio and a kindergym. There's also a conference room and seating for over 230 spectators. The competitive program at the Randy Trousdell Gymnastics Center has an impressive history, with three former participants having gone on to become Olympians. It also represents Tallahassee in local, state, regional and national competitions. To join the program, general public class registrations take place in August, December and May. With more than 500,000 children having already participated, the Randy Trousdell Gymnastics Center is still going strong.

In 2018 we moved to a much larger facility just off of I-72. We are now in a 20,000 sq ft building that has everything we need to host an amazing competition season. We've grown from three athletes in 2012 to over 200 in 2020. It all began in 2012 at a small gym in Auburn, Illinois. Three athletes started the competition season at the aptly-named Small Gym, Big Heart. As the program grew, the gym was upgraded to a larger, more efficient space on the south side of Springfield. However, the parking lot was unable to accommodate the increasing number of participants. Eventually, in 2018, Small Gym, Big Heart moved to a much larger facility off I-72. The facility is now 20,000 square feet, providing all the necessary accommodations to host a successful competition season. In the eight years since its inception, Small Gym, Big Heart has grown from three athletes in 2012 to over 200 in 2020.

In 1999, Lane Beatty, a physical educator, had a vision to create a new type of summer camp for working parents in Naples, Florida. Lane’s concept was based on the type of sports and games he had played growing up in a small town in Northern Michigan. After a successful summer camp, parents asked to have the same choices during the after-school program as well. Thus, the non-profit organization Sports Camp, Inc. was formed and the after-school Sports CLUB program began. Sports CLUB is dedicated to helping children achieve a balanced lifestyle that includes equal emphasis on academics, the arts and athletics.
