Center Stage is a locally owned and operated dance studio located in the heart of Springboro, OH. Tammy Longworth the studio director had a dream at the age of 16 to open a dance studio, and with the support of her mom and co-owner Beckie Harding, Tammy was able to open the doors to Center Stage in 1983. Center Stage was first opening in Waynesville, OH and later moved to Springboro. We are so excited to be moving into our new facility at the Springboro Performing Arts Center (PAC). With this new facility we will be able to provide our community with dance education, dance competition teams, and several performances throughout the year. We pride ourselves by helping children of all ages and stages of life create, achieve, and explore through the art of dance.

In 1980 Miss Lois purchased Dance Dimensions from her dance teacher, Lera Rae. Prior to buying the studio, Miss Lois, or Mrs. Ulrich as she was lovingly known, was the Lancerette Director at Alter High School for 15 years. She retired from Alter in 1980 in order to purchase Dance Dimensions. She handed down her love of dance along with Lera Rae’s theory to her daughters Andrea & Lisa. When Andrea and Lisa were young they studied with Lera Rae and then later with their mom. Miss Lois retired in 2014, after having taught dance for over 60 years! Today, the studio is run by her daughters Andrea (Ulrich) Ogg and Lisa (Ulrich) Walters, along with her granddaughter Becky (Ulrich) Blake. They continue her legacy by passing on the love of dance to their students.

Broadway Bound was established in 1994 to bring excellence in dance instruction and performance to her hometown of New Albany, Ohio. Our dream was to help young people realize their potential by celebrating the joy of life through dance. “We believe dance at BBDC helps individuals learn life lessons–whether they ever dance again or not. At the age of 5, she danced with Ms. Bonnie Williams at the Bonnie Williams Dance Studio. She competed throughout grade school and high school receiving many awards and national titles. Emilie received a B.A. in Dance Management from the acclaimed Oklahoma City University’s School of Dance and Arts Management. Upon receiving her degree, she moved to New York where she studied at Broadway Dance Center. She danced with several companies including Peggy Spina Tap Company, Tap Fusion and the New Jersey Tap Ensemble where she served as managing director. Emilie had the opportunity to perform at The Duke and Town Hall in New York City. She is a founding member of Cincinnati Taps, Inc, a non profit dance company. After studying and performing in New York, Emilie decided to move back to Cincinnati to open a dance studio in her hometown of Loveland. Broadway Bound Dance Academy opened in the winter of 2003. Broadway Bound offers instruction in classical ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and hip hop for students 2 yrs. through adult.
