In the brilliant, beautiful state of North Carolina, where the Appalachian Mountains hug the sky and the Outer Banks kiss the Atlantic Ocean, a special group of kids, known as the Physio-Fun Brigade, participate in a unique activity – Physical Therapy. This isn't your everyday exercise, oh no! It's an exciting adventure led by none other than Sir Flex-a-Lot, a hilariously cool imaginary character. Sir Flex-a-Lot, with his goofy grin and a body as flexible as a cooked spaghetti noodle, makes every session a laugh riot. He's as tall as a giraffe on stilts and as bouncy as a kangaroo on a trampoline. With his rainbow-colored workout gear and his squeaky sneakers that honk like a clown car with every step, he's quite the sight! These fantastic NC kids, from the mystical mountains to the sunny shores, and all the bustling cities in between, are his eager, brave sidekicks. They're not just bending and stretching; they're on epic quests to conquer Castle Coordination and reclaim the Kingdom of Strength. Sure, there are days when the dragon of tiredness tries to get in their way or when the moat of monotony seems too wide to cross. But with Sir Flex-a-Lot leading the charge with a hearty "Stretch ho!", and a booming laugh that can shake the leaves off the trees, every step of their physical therapy journey becomes a fun-filled adventure. So, here's to the valiant Physio-Fun Brigade, the incredible kids of North Carolina, who, with their imaginary friend, Sir Flex-a-Lot, are mastering the art of moving and grooving, all with a dash of fun and a whole lot of giggles.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
