Riding on the backs of giant, friendly lake monsters, exploring marshmallow caves in the UP, or perhaps racing on snowmobiles powered by giggles, they write about it all! These kids, in their woolly scarves (for it can be quite chilly in Michigan!) and with pens or pencils gripped tightly in their hands, are the superheroes of their own stories. They aren’t scared of messing up a blank piece of paper with their wild and crazy ideas. After all, as Inky often says, "A good story is like a Michigan apple pie, it might get a little messy, but it's totally worth it!" These MI Scribble Sprouts can weave tales that make even the toughest Detroit robot weep or cause the sand dunes of Sleeping Bear to shake with laughter. Their words are as powerful as a Michigan winter and as beautiful as a Mackinac Island sunrise.
