They are as unique as lobster ice cream and as lively as the moose-tastic forests surrounding them. Every morning, they bolt from their homes faster than a hummingbird on a sugar high, ready to take on any challenge Sportsfield throws their way. They are as determined as beavers building a dam, always eager to improve their game and support their team, displaying a sportsmanship as lovely and inspiring as a Maine sunrise. Now, meet their coolest yet goofiest imaginary friend, Jumpy the Jackalope. A mythical creature with the body of a rabbit and antlers of an antelope, Jumpy is the heart and soul of Sportsfield. He's the one who brings the magic, turning every game into a thrilling adventure. One day, he might turn a baseball into a shooting star or the soccer ball may suddenly start behaving like a mischievous squirrel. Jumpy’s antics keep the kids on their toes and their laughter ringing across the field. With Jumpy by their side, Sportsfield becomes not just about winning or losing, but about having a whale of a time. DEBUT Creative Center & Theater-Studio is a dual-language (English–Russian) program where kids explore creativity, confidence, and self-expression. From theater and dance to fencing and stage performance, children can try new activities and discover their unique talents. Small class sizes let instructors give each child personalized attention, helping them feel comfortable, supported, and confident as they learn. Kids build artistic skills while also developing social confidence, teamwork, and poise on stage and in everyday life. Our programs celebrate each child’s individuality, combining fun, hands-on experiences with a focus on personal growth—all while keeping Russian language and culture an important part of the curriculum.
Parents, give your kids the experience of a lifetime at Camp Mechuwana! Our summer camp program runs from mid-June through mid-August and is located on more than 200 acres of forest land. We offer 40 different weekly camps ranging from day camp, trip and travel camps, canoe camps, swim camps, music and theater camps, special needs camp, and creative arts camp. Our camp borders Lower Narrows Pond and Lake Annabessacook, and features nature trails, boat dock, a swimming area, cabins, theatre, chapel, dining hall, basketball courts, and a sports field. At Mechuwana, we create a caring and supportive community for all ages and grades, and host specialty camps for Moms and Dads and their kids, as well as Grandparents and their grandchildren. We also have a retreat center located in the foothills of Maine, and host non-profit groups year-round. Each season brings a new life to the camp, and we encourage everyone to come and enjoy God's creation in this special place.
