Meet Lobsy, the wildest tennis racquet in the whole state of Iowa. You see, Iowa is not just all about cornfields and barn dances – it's also home to some of the most talented, energetic kids who love whacking tennis balls across the courts with gusto. Their favorite pastime activity, when not admiring the beautiful Mississippi River or exploring the historical Amana Colonies, is dashing around tennis courts, sending tennis balls soaring with their racquets. But none of these racquets are quite like Lobsy. Lobsy is a bright green racquet, the color of a Granny Smith apple, with a sense of humor as bouncy as a tennis ball. He's not just a simple piece of equipment; he's a trusted friend and advisor to every kid whose hand he graces. He loves nothing more than to make the kids laugh with his hilarious jokes and goofy faces - he can even make grumpy old Coach Chuckle smile! Iowa's youngsters, with their vivid imaginations, believe that when they play with Lobsy, they can serve with the speed of a cheetah, volley like an eagle, and smash with the strength of a grizzly bear. Through their eyes, the tennis court transforms into a wild jungle, where each game is an adventure, each point is a thrilling chase, and each racket swing echoes with roars of imaginary beasts. That's the magic of tennis in Iowa, kids. With every game they play, they're not just improving their skills; they're embarking on an epic journey, filled with laughter, friendship, and the unparalleled joy of the game, all thanks to their beloved Lobsy. So, come on, grab your racquet, let's hit some balls and create more thrilling tennis tales in the heart of Iowa.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.

We at Camp Lookout are counting down the days until the 2022 camping season officially begins! As we make the necessary preparations for this exciting summer, we invite all campers to join us in the adventure. We will not be requiring masks, so campers should be sure to bring their unique personalities and a willingness to participate. With a spirit of adventure, a sense of service to others, and a few laughs, we are sure it will be a summer to remember!
