Once upon a time, right smack dab in the heart of America, there was a truly magical place known as Iowa. IA, as the cool kids called it, was a land of rolling hills, endless cornfields, and friendly-faced people. But, that wasn't even the most magical part of Iowa. Nope, it was a tiny, yet mighty group of kids who were the real stars of the show. These kids were part of the 'Religious Service Squad', a team known for their active participation in all sorts of religious activities. Don't let the name fool you, though; these weren't a bunch of stick-in-the-mud, boring kids. They were adventurous, funny, and even a little bit mischievous. They were led by their fearless leader, a jovial, jolly, plump kid named Billy "Bible-buster" Bob. Billy Bob, with his freckles and ever-present cowboy hat, was a legend in IA. His wild tales about his spiritual escapades were famous all over the state. He could turn even the most mundane bible study into a thrilling quest for hidden treasure. When it came to community service, Billy Bob and his squad were like superheroes. Whether they were serving soup at the local shelter or helping out during Sunday mass, they did it with such enthusiasm and joy that it was contagious. These kids were the heart of Iowa, spreading cheer, goodwill and laughter wherever they went. Their love for their community and their shared spiritual bond made them unique. So, if you ever find yourself in the magical land of IA, don't forget to meet Billy Bob and his Religious Service Squad. You're in for a treat, and maybe, just maybe, a dash of their magic will rub off on you too.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.

We at Camp Lookout are counting down the days until the 2022 camping season officially begins! As we make the necessary preparations for this exciting summer, we invite all campers to join us in the adventure. We will not be requiring masks, so campers should be sure to bring their unique personalities and a willingness to participate. With a spirit of adventure, a sense of service to others, and a few laughs, we are sure it will be a summer to remember!
