Deep in the heart of the giant state of Texas, where everything is bigger and better, and where cowboys ride and tumbleweeds roll, there exists a spirited group of kids. These aren't your ordinary, run-of-the-mill youngsters. Oh, no! These pint-sized Texans are flag football extraordinaires! They're part of a thrilling team known as the "Lone Star Lightning Bolts", a name as electrifying as their energy and enthusiasm. The Lightning Bolts are led by their charmingly quirky, imaginary coach, Tex Twistershoes. A cowboy with a twirly mustache, twinkling eyes, and football boots that magically change color with every touchdown. He’s got a laugh that sounds like a coyote howling at the moon and tells tall tales about wrestling rattlesnakes and riding bucking broncos. But, coach Tex's real magic lies in teaching our football fanatics the art of perfecting the pigskin pass and the thunderbolt throw. The fields of Texas are filled with the happy echoes of laughter and cheers as these junior jocks dive and dash, making epic plays. Their bandanas fly in the wind like flags on a breezy day, and their dazzling moves could outshine the Dallas Cowboys. Amidst the backdrop of the radiant Texan sunsets, the fierce competition, and the dust stirred up by their quick feet comes a camaraderie and team spirit as big as Texas itself. These are the kids of Texas flag football, where each game is a grand adventure, each pass is a quest for glory, and each player is a hero in their own right. Here in the heart of Texas, they're not just playing a game; they're living a thrilling, high-spirited, football-themed dream. Yeehaw!

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
At Camp Champions, we bring together the nostalgic essence of a classic summer camp with top-notch amenities, establishing ourselves as one of the premier overnight summer camps in Texas. Our aim is to give campers an unforgettable, fun-filled experience that they will cherish for a lifetime. However, we believe that camp should be more than just fun. That’s why our program is designed to provide children with opportunities to grow and learn. We harness the power of camp life to foster personal development, helping children to build confidence, resilience, and leadership skills. At the heart of Camp Champions lies our core mission: to nurture our campers into true champions. We instill valuable life values in our campers that align with this mission. Our goal is to help every child discover their potential and transform them into well-rounded individuals, ready to face life's challenges.
For over six decades, the Quillian Center has been a haven for children looking to enjoy a memorable summer camp experience. Nestled in the heart of Houston's vibrant westside, Camp Quillian has won the hearts of the Westchase District community, becoming the most popular choice for a summer camp. Accredited by the American Camp Association, we offer day camp services for children aged 5-12 and a special Teen Camp for those aged 13-14. With flexible camp hours running from 8AM to 6:30PM, we provide an experience that is both enjoyable and convenient. We understand that each family's schedule differs, and as such, we are pleased to offer half-day options for both morning and afternoon sessions. Morning half-day campers are welcome to join us as soon as our doors open, where they can partake in specialty camps and grand assemblies. These campers can be picked up at the end of their lunchtime. Our afternoon half-day campers begin their adventure at 1PM, participating in facility rotations, special events, and daily swimming opportunities. Pick up time for these campers is 6:30PM when our camp closes. Camp Quillian is not only about fun, but also about diverse activities that keep children engaged. We boast a host of resources including a gymnasium, two swimming pools, an indoor climbing wall, game rooms, athletic fields, and a playground. If you've ever had the privilege of spending your summer at El Tesoro as a camper, a counselor, or contributing in any other role, your presence at our upcoming events will help us commemorate and honor the cherished history of our beloved camp. We're planning to share stories, photos, and precious memories spanning nine decades, and we'd be thrilled if you joined us. The Camp Fire Camp El Tesoro, established in 1934, has been a welcoming haven for generations of campers, with its iconic swinging bridge being a memorable landmark for many. El Tesoro, which translates to "The Treasure" in Spanish, is a 223-acre sanctuary nestled between Fall Creek and the Brazos River in Granbury, Texas. Our camp offers a breathtaking panorama of the serene river and the vast open spaces of the blackland prairie. Our natural terrain and indigenous landscape offer our visitors a much-needed respite from the hustle and bustle of the modern world. This idyllic oasis currently hosts co-ed overnight campers, day campers, grief campers, teachers, students keen on learning about nature, and groups seeking to foster connection and indulge in outdoor adventures. In 2010, Camp Fire First Texas launched a Capital Campaign aimed at renovating and upgrading the facilities at Camp El Tesoro. This initiative is essential to ensure that the enchanting spirit of the camp continues to be enjoyed by future generations. We're committed to preserving and enhancing the magic of Camp El Tesoro, enriching the lives of campers for many years to come.
