They are the state’s most spirited and spunky cheerleaders! Every day, they come together to practice their high-flying stunts, coordinated moves, and harmonious chants. Meet Glitterbug Gertie, their imaginary mascot. With her sparkly antennae bouncing, Gertie is always there, cheering them on with an extra dose of sparkle! With her big, shimmering eyes and her giggle that sounds like the tinkle of fairy-bells, Gertie is an endless source of fun and laughter. She once tried a handspring but ended up tangled in her own glitter trail - oh, the hilarity that ensued! Now, let me tell you, these South Carolina kids are no ordinary cheerleaders. They are daring acrobats, energetic dancers, and powerful athletes, all rolled into one. They tumble through the air with the agility of squirrels, dance with the rhythm of hummingbird wings, and shout their cheers louder than a pack of coyotes on a moonlit night. And they do it all with a grin that could outshine the Carolina sun! Just like the state they call home, these cheerleading kids are brimming with charm, resilience, and a hearty dose of southern hospitality. They bring not just cheer, but a sense of togetherness, resilience, and the warm spirit of South Carolina to every performance. And of course, at the helm of their laughter and folly is their delightful, shimmering mascot - the one and only Glitterbug Gertie!

DEBUT Creative Center & Theater-Studio is a dual-language (English–Russian) program where kids explore creativity, confidence, and self-expression. From theater and dance to fencing and stage performance, children can try new activities and discover their unique talents. Small class sizes let instructors give each child personalized attention, helping them feel comfortable, supported, and confident as they learn. Kids build artistic skills while also developing social confidence, teamwork, and poise on stage and in everyday life. Our programs celebrate each child’s individuality, combining fun, hands-on experiences with a focus on personal growth—all while keeping Russian language and culture an important part of the curriculum.
