South Carolina, affectionately known as SC, is quite a quirky place, filled with giggling gators, chatty seagulls, and hidden pirate treasures. It's where you can taste the salt in the morning air, feel the sand between your toes, and see the Spanish moss swaying in the breeze. Now, in this splendid state, there's a group of kids whose imaginations are as wild as a horde of hyperactive hummingbirds. They're the Art & Crafts kids. With their rainbow-smudged fingers and glitter in their hair, they believe every day is an art adventure waiting to be painted! Meet Trudy, a ladybug with a sassy red hat who helps the kids get creative. Trudy, fondly called "Doodles" by the kids, is as spunky as a firecracker and as imaginative as an artist's palette. She has been known to paint stripes on the raccoons and polka dots on the possums, just for fun! Every day, with Doodles guiding them, these kids transform ordinary paper plates into whimsical sunflowers, and turn lumpy clay into grinning gators. They create masterpieces from bottle caps and old buttons, transforming what others might call trash into treasure! One day, you might find them sculpting a sandcastle that stretches to the clouds. The next, they could be knitting cozy sweaters for the oak trees or choreographing a dance for the squirrels. They're always laughing, always creating, and always making SC even more magical. But remember, don't be surprised if you see a squirrel wearing a tutu or a tree sporting a large woolly sweater, that's just a sign that the Art & Crafts kids and Doodles have been there!

Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith. Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups. Whether you're planning a camp, a retreat, or a team-building excursion, our serene setting and well-equipped facilities provide the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable experience.
Located in Bennettsville, SC, Sandy Ridge is owned and operated by Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina and sits on over 400 acres of beautiful sand hills. It is the perfect spot for Girl Scouts to take part in summer resident camp programs, troop camping opportunities, training, and outdoor events and overnights for girls and adult volunteers. Sandy Ridge includes sleeping units, swimming pool, two lakes, watercraft, an archery range, sports field, a clay pit and a climate-controlled dining hall. Animals are also part of the camp's program and donations of aquariums, animal cages, animal supplies, and animal food are always appreciated.
