Freddie, a lovable and laughter-filled leprechaun, often peeps from behind the fluffy clouds to watch these Rhode Island karate kids perform their high-flying kicks and lightning-fast punches. They practice at the beach, in the park, and sometimes even in their backyards; anywhere they can find a spot under the Rhode Island sun. The thud-thud-thud of their fiery chops echoes throughout the state, often mistaken by Freddie for a robust heart of Rhode Island beating with excitement. Once, Freddie tried to learn their intricate moves. He tumbled, he stumbled, but the kids didn't laugh. Instead, they helped him up, dusted him off, and taught him how to pull off a perfect karate chop! Now, Freddie isn't just a leprechaun. He is their mascot, their cheerleader, and their biggest fan. DEBUT Creative Center & Theater-Studio is a dual-language (English–Russian) program where kids explore creativity, confidence, and self-expression. From theater and dance to fencing and stage performance, children can try new activities and discover their unique talents. Small class sizes let instructors give each child personalized attention, helping them feel comfortable, supported, and confident as they learn. Kids build artistic skills while also developing social confidence, teamwork, and poise on stage and in everyday life. The Self Defense Training Center Children’s Program is designed to teach kids more than just karate. Our classes focus on teaching children how to avoid conflict and stay aware of their surroundings. We also use physical fitness exercises to keep kids engaged and help them develop preparedness skills that will stay with them for life. At the Self Defense Training Center, we are passionate about helping children develop self-confidence and respect. Through our active self-defense exercises, we strive to equip kids with the skills they need to stay safe in any situation. Our classes also focus on physical fitness and situational awareness, making sure kids gain the knowledge and strength they need to stay safe and secure.
