At Little Brook Farm, our mission is to provide horses with the care, respect and love they need to become healthy, adoptable animals. Our dedicated staff and volunteers are devoted to the safety and well-being of all our rescued horses. Little Brook Farm has been providing sanctuary to horses since 1977. It is one of the oldest horse rescue/sanctuaries in the US and has rescued hundreds of horses over the years. Currently, Little Brook Farm is responsible for the life-long care of 100 horses who are never bred or sold and who must be returned to the sanctuary if adopted. Little Brook Farm has access to 125 acres of land for the 65 horses they care for daily. This land is made up of six landowners providing acreage, as well as the farm's own 55-acre plot. To accommodate its growing animal population, Little Brook Farm relies on 20 outstanding foster homes that provide for an additional 35 horses and donkeys. The mission of Little Brook Farm is to provide horses with the care, respect, and love they need to become healthy and adoptable animals. The staff and volunteers are dedicated to the safety and wellbeing of all of the rescued horses, and their commitment to this mission has enabled Little Brook Farm to be a safe haven for horses for over four decades.
