But what makes it even more magical are the giggling troves of Brainy Bunch, each armed with their favorite tool – be it a microscope, a paintbrush, or a robot they've built from scratch! Our very own Brainy Bunch are not ordinary kids. They are super kids! They can unravel the mysteries of the universe, decode the language of computers, build towering structures, create enchanting melodies and paint their dreams into reality – all before they sit down for lunch! Our fearless friend, Bucky the Beaver, is their guide. Bucky, with his magnetic personality, and an infectious laugh that sounds like water splashing against the river rocks, wears a shiny lab coat adorned with all sorts of peculiar gadgets, all as colorful as his personality! In the heart of New Jersey, the Brainy Bunch, led by Bucky, turn ordinary days into extraordinary explorations. They dive into the ocean’s depths to converse with curious creatures, climb mountains to chat with chirpy birds, delve into dark caves to investigate hidden treasures, and even travel to the mysterious realms of outer space! Yes, it's funny, but it's also true! Because in the land of New Jersey, the Brainy Bunch knows no boundaries. We focus on physical health, responsible social expression and self-esteem, with a variety of activities and experiences tailored to ensure our campers learn and develop in a positive and supportive environment. We are proud to have been providing under-resourced Middlesex County children with summertime enjoyment since 1924. Our mission is to build and nurture physical health, responsible social expression, self-esteem, mental well-being and other sustainable life skills through a holistic approach and diverse programming. We have been fortunate to have provided a fun and health focused away from home experience to over 50,000 county residents, and to have supported working parents, guardians and families.
At ALOHA, we understand that children learn differently and that their brains have two hemispheres – the left and right – which carry out very different functions. The left hemisphere is the logical side, responsible for language, analysis, numeracy, theory and deduction, whilst the right hemisphere is the creative side and encourages perception, emotion, imagination and intuition. Unfortunately, many children fail to integrate the two halves of their brain, which can have a negative impact on their academic progress. That’s why ALOHA has developed the Mental Math system, to help children bring the two sides of their brain together and make the most of their learning potential. At ALOHA, we understand that every child is different and that it is essential to encourage them to use both sides of their brain. Our Mental Math system has been designed to integrate the two hemispheres of your child’s brain, so that they can make the most of their learning abilities.

Dori Roberts is an experienced educator of 11 years, with a strong background in technology and math. As a teacher and mother, Roberts has first-hand experience of the need for engineering, science, and math programs in schools. This inspired her to create an after-school club, which gathered 180 students and achieved multiple state championships. Encouraged by the success of the program, Roberts began adapting her program for a broader age demographic. She started the first Engineering For Kids programs at a local elementary school, where it was received with great enthusiasm. This ultimately led her to leave teaching and focus her time and energy on developing Engineering For Kids.
