Since our inception in 2018, we have been the proud USA National Office for the acclaimed World Robot Olympiad, a global robotics competition that has over 35,000 participants from more than 80 countries. The atmosphere is friendly and electronics-free, encouraging campers to achieve surprisingly good results. Started in 1945 by Ferris & Helen Thomsen, Deerwood is now run by the third and fourth generation of Thomsens, with a strong core of senior counselors.
