In the magical land of New Hampshire, known to all as the "Granite State," nestled snugly amongst mountains garnished with snowy caps and valleys overflowing with verdant greenery, there lived the most extraordinary group of children the world had ever seen. These weren't ordinary children, oh no! They were the Reading Rangers of New Hampshire! With their leader, the ever-charismatic Captain Bookbeard, they embarked on epic adventures. Captain Bookbeard, a jolly character with a beard made entirely of bookmark ribbons, a pair of glasses perched precariously at the tip of his nose and a hat tall enough to be mistaken for a wizard's, led his troop fearlessly. His laughter echoed through the hills, sounding like a babbling brook tripping over stones in its path, and his jokes never failed to make the Reading Rangers giggle. These children were special because they had an insatiable appetite for stories and an unparalleled love for reading. They'd huddle in treehouses, under the shade of gigantic maples, beside a crackling fireplace, or even on the sun-kissed beaches, their minds lost in the enchanting world of books. From the tiny town of Littleton to the bustling city of Manchester, the Reading Rangers were legends. They battled dragons, explored the cosmos, solved mysteries, and discovered lost civilizations, all without leaving their beloved state. And when the Rangers weren't reading, they were laughing at Captain Bookbeard's goofy antics, like the time he tried to use a book as a boat and ended up with soggy pants! In the magical state of New Hampshire, these book-loving kids had transformed reading into a thrilling adventure, proving that with a book in hand, every day could be filled with laughter, fun, and a whole lot of excitement!

Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith. Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups. Whether you're planning a camp, a retreat, or a team-building excursion, our serene setting and well-equipped facilities provide the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable experience.
