They considered him their unofficial mascot and cheered for him at every game. On any given day, you'd find Mitten leading an enthusiastic group of kids across sprawling green soccer fields, under the watchful eyes of the mighty Great Lakes. The children, with their rosy cheeks, sparkling eyes, and untamed energy, were a fantastic sight to behold. They came from Detroit, Flint, Grand Rapids, Lansing - all corners of Michigan.
