About Camp Midicha - ADA
Are you looking for a summer camp for your child with diabetes? Camp Midicha is the perfect choice! Serving 550+ children annually since 1955, this all-volunteer residential program is located at Camp Copneconic in Fenton, Michigan. At Camp Midicha, dozens of volunteers, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dieticians and more, give their time and knowledge to teach children the skills they need to manage their diabetes and live healthy lives.
In 2017, Camp Midicha expanded to offer year-round programming, including a Family camp and a Young Adult camp (for 18-25-year-olds). This gives kids with diabetes more opportunities to learn, grow, and make friends throughout the year. Plus, the camp's location is ideal for parents looking for a summer camp in the Midwest.
Camp Midicha is truly a special place for kids with diabetes. With the support of dedicated volunteers and year-round programs, children gain the skills and confidence they need to take control of their diabetes and lead happy, healthy lives.

Camp Midicha
Camp Midicha isn’t just another fun summer camp. Camp Midicha is a safe place where kids get to be kids (despite their diabetes). Campers find comfort being around hundreds of other children and many staff members that share their same daily struggles which helps them formally and informally learn life-changing skills that prepare them to manage their diabetes independently as they grow into young adults. For many parents, Camp Midicha provides one week of respite per year – getting a full night’s sleep and reconnecting with friends and loved ones without carrying the burden of managing their child’s diabetes. For many children, Camp Midicha is the highlight of their summer and a big part of their life. At Camp Midicha, campers develop a support community that helps prepare them for the years ahead and reminds them they are not alone.
