Leading this energetic bunch is none other than their cool, imaginary friend, Chuck "Chuckles" Cheeks, a former champion kickboxer turned invisible mentor. Chuckles is a bean-sized dynamo with a Cheshire cat grin, who has the power to transform into a towering giant whenever there's a kickboxing lesson. Chuckles' lessons are never dull. When teaching them to punch, he occasionally turns into a jelly-filled donut, where every punch squirts jelly! For kicks, he morphs into a piñata, and candies burst out with every successful hit! And for roundhouses, he becomes a spinning disco ball, and the room becomes a dance floor. So, if you stroll through the streets of MA, and you hear the thud of kicks or see a flash of spinning light from a window, remember it's just Chuckles and the kickboxing kids practicing their moves. With over 50 years of experience in martial arts, Louis DiBiccari is the founder, owner and operator of the longest running martial arts school in Wakefield. Beyond Self Defense has been in its current location since 1989 and is a proud member of the International Ryukyu Karate Research Society. Louis DiBiccari is an experienced martial arts master, having studied and trained for over 50 years. His journey began at age 19 and since then, Louis has developed an impressive understanding of the martial arts. His dedication to the craft has allowed him to launch and operate Beyond Self Defense, the longest running martial arts school in Wakefield. Beyond Self Defense is an accredited member of the International Ryukyu Karate Research Society and has been in its current location since 1989.
