The leader of the "Page Turners" was a cool, oversized bookworm named Bookzilla. Bookzilla wore retro glasses and an Indiana Jones-style hat, and he had an infectious giggle that made everyone around him chuckle. He was known to sometimes mispronounce big, bookish words, like 'onomatopoeia' or 'hyperbole,' which would send the kids into fits of laughter. But, most importantly, Bookzilla had an incredible knack for bringing stories to life, making reading an exhilarating ride for all the "Page Turners." ALLE Fencing Club specializes in saber fencing and welcomes students from beginners discovering the sport for the first time to experienced young athletes preparing for regional and national competitions. Youth beginner classes introduce children ages 6–12 to the fundamentals of fencing, including saber handling, footwork, distance control, fencing etiquette, sportsmanship, coordination, focus, and basic rules. Junior programs are available for ages 12+ and help students progress toward competitive fencing. With experienced coaches and a supportive training environment, students develop both physical and mental skills while learning a sport that challenges them to think quickly, move confidently, and make strategic decisions. Advanced and Elite programs provide additional training for experienced fencers interested in tournaments and high-level competition. I make sure to tailor my instruction to each child’s unique needs and abilities. We follow a daily routine that includes circle time, lessons, activities, and motor skills development, while still allowing for plenty of playtime and exploration. This kind of individualized attention allows the children to gain independence and develop their skills at their own pace. It's a joy to watch the children grow and thrive in this setting.
