These kids are not your ordinary children. Oh, no! They’re magical engineers of paper, glitter, and glue – the Art & Craft Virtuosos of Mass! They can turn an egg carton into an elegant castle, a sock into a swooning puppet princess, or a handful of macaroni into a thrift store-worthy necklace. They're like wizards, with paintbrushes instead of magic wands, creating worlds out of popsicle sticks and dreams. Their leader is a whimsical character named Doodle McSpray, an old sea captain with a beard as wild as a porcupine’s dream and a hat decorated with glittering bottle caps. Doodle loves to tell stories about his adventures on the high seas, each one more wildly exaggerated than the last. Once, he claimed to have seen a rainbow-colored whale that spat out colorful water jets, which he used to paint his ship! But what Doodle loves most is inspiring the kids. He teaches them how to see the fantastic in the ordinary, how a simple box could be a rocket to the moon, or a paper plate could be a warrior's mighty shield. At our school we offer two unique options for the academic year: Full-Day and Half-Day programs. The Full-Day program runs from 8:30am to 2:50pm, and the Half-Day program runs from 8:30-12:00. Both programs cover the same curriculum, but the extra time of the Full-Day program allows us to expand the curriculum further and provide our students with Unified Arts daily. We believe that families of students in the Half-Day program should take advantage of this additional time with their child to participate in activities that promote social, physical, and educational growth. Examples of such activities can include trips to the public library, storytime, and arts and craft projects that focus on developing fine motor skills.

At Happy Hours, children are given the opportunity to develop socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. We provide a safe and nurturing environment to explore and learn. Through the use of our living and learning spaces, children can work on a variety of tasks and projects. We provide a variety of activities and materials to engage the children in meaningful experiences. Our program is designed to meet the needs of each individual child, while also providing opportunities to learn and grow in a group setting. We strive to create an environment where children can develop into confident, well-adjusted individuals.
