When Marvin's not busy turning kids into aquatic athletes, he loves telling hilarious tales about his adventures through the Boston Harbor, or the time he outswam a speedy sailfish in the Charles River. On a warm, sunny day, you might catch a glimpse of him sliding down the Berkshire hills, using a giant clam as a sled, because for Marvin, the entire state of MA is his whimsical water park! Chi-Slam Table Tennis Club (Age 6–Adult) is Chicago’s premier table tennis destination, welcoming players of all ages and skill levels—from beginners just getting started to advanced competitors. Founded in 2003 and located at 2412 W. North Ave, Chi-Slam offers everything a table tennis enthusiast could want: one-on-one and youth lessons, open play sessions, league play, table rentals, and even pro shop selections like Butterfly equipment. Membership at The Adirondack Club includes an amazing selection of group fitness classes each week and two state-of-the-art fitness centers. Our competition lap pool and beach-entry recreational pool are covered in the winter allowing us to offer aquatic programs, including swim lessons and swim team, all year-round. With the bubble off in the summer, the pool, sprayground, and waterslide are the perfect setting for an afternoon of family fun. We offer our members six championship tennis courts and are home to DBH, USTA, SNEITA, and C-Mass teams. Our dedicated staff of tennis professionals offer lessons and class programming for adults and juniors at all skill levels. Your children will be safe and sound in our Children’s Center featuring play structures (Fire House, Beauty Shop & School House!), an Art Center, Hopscotch & Four-Square, and a Blocks/Building Center. Summer Camp, Active Kids, the after-school program that keeps kids moving, and our new Active Kids PreSchool are under the careful supervision of our certified staff.
