Meet our friend, Gizmo the Geeky Grasshopper. Gizmo is no ordinary grasshopper, oh no! He sports a pair of funky glasses, carries a tiny beaker, and is often seen zooming across the state on his mini rocket-powered skateboard, visiting the numerous libraries, museums, and schools. Gizmo is all about STEM/STEAM. Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics are his partners in crime, and together they make learning a grand adventure for all the kids in Massachusetts.

Gizmo and the kids are always up to something fun and educational. Whether they're coding a new video game, building miniature robots, or painting mathematical masterpieces, they are continually exploring ways to merge creativity, innovation, and problem-solving. Much like the state they live in, these kids are a blend of history and modernity, tradition and innovation. 

Together, they laugh, learn, and make the occasional explosion (all in the name of science, of course). And at the end of the day, they've made Massachusetts not just the birthplace of American liberty, but also a rising star in the universe of STEM/STEAM. For over 140 years, we have been helping families throughout North Central Massachusetts reach their goals of self-sufficiency. With our unique and innovative programs, we offer a variety of services that are designed to strengthen families and individuals, build healthy relationships, and promote self-sufficiency.  

Our award-winning Child Enrichment Center provides quality, year-round child care for children ages 15 months to five years. We also coordinate Family Child Care, providing home-based child care options year-round in small group settings for children ages six weeks-10 years. We accept both private pay and subsidized child care vouchers, so families can have access to the care they need.

Evergreen Center was founded in 1982 by Dr. Robert F. Littleton, Jr., with the goal of providing a supportive learning and living environment for children and adolescents with autism and severe developmental disabilities. The center utilizes Applied Behavior Analysis as the foundation for its instructional technologies, with the aim of developing communication, basic academic, self-care, and social interaction skills. These fundamental abilities are essential for students to transition to less restrictive settings and lead a high quality life. Through the implementation of evidence-based practices, the Evergreen Center strives to ensure that all students reach their maximum potential.

At Roudenbush, we offer an array of services for teens and adults, such as classes, workshops, and programs. Whether you are looking to learn a new skill, explore a hobby, or become more involved in the community, Roudenbush has something for you! We also provide services for our active senior citizens, including fitness classes, health seminars, and social activities.

Roudenbush Childrens Center Nabnasset

In 1986, the NBCCC became the Child Care of the Berkshires (CCB).  For the next 30 years, CCB worked diligently to provide quality child care and early education programs, support for family child care providers, and referrals to families in need. In 2017, CCB moved to its current location, located in a beautiful, renovated building in downtown North Adams. This move allowed CCB to expand the services it provides to families, providers, and the community.

For over 50 years, the Northern Berkshire Child Care Committee and Child Care of the Berkshires have been serving the families of Northern Berkshire County. Founded in 1969 by a group of committed women, NBCCC was born out of the need for daycare in the area. They temporarily took up residence in a church on Monument Square before eventually relocating to the Haskins Elementary School.

During these early years, they managed to build a network of family child care providers, funded through donations, the Northern Berkshire United Way, and a contract with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In 1986, the NBCCC rebranded as the Child Care of the Berkshires (CCB).

For the last three decades, CCB has worked tirelessly to provide quality child care and early education programs, in addition to support for family child care providers and referrals for those in need. In 2017, CCB moved to its current location in North Adams. This move enabled CCB to increase their services to families, providers, and the surrounding community.

For the last 50 years, the Northern Berkshire Child Care Committee and Child Care of the Berkshires have been an integral part of the Northern Berkshire County community. Through their dedication and commitment to providing quality child care and early education programs, they have been able to make a positive impact on countless families in the area.

Peanuts Daycare

Located at 23 Pine Street in Milford, MA, CCC provides a safe and supportive environment for children from infants through 12 years of age. Open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, CCC is part of the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Milford. The teachers have been certified by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, and are committed to providing the highest quality of care and education for the children. They are also required to participate in regular training's to ensure they are equipped to provide the best possible experience.

Harriett Merriam, daughter of Charles Merriam, the man behind Merriam-Webster Dictionaries, founded Springfield Day Nursery in 1883. This was in response to a desperate need for child care among Springfield’s hardworking families. Now known as Square One, the organization provides tailored education and support services for every child and family. Our mission is to foster a lifelong love of learning, giving children the skills they need to make smart decisions and to grow strong in all aspects of life.

Fern and Feather Nature Day Camp is a great way for your child to experience the wonders of Martha’s Vineyard wildlife. This camp, located at the 350-acre Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary, is open to children ages 3-14 and provides a unique summer experience.
