He's always tripping over his shoelaces, tossing the football to the referee, and somehow always ends up with his helmet on backwards. But he's also the heart of the team, always cheering everybody up, making everyone laugh and reminding them that football is all about having fun. So, if you ever find yourself in Florida, don't forget to catch a Flag Football game. You'll see kids zipping around the field, the football flying high and Fumble Freddy, probably chasing his own helmet. It's an adventure that's as wild and wacky as the state of Florida itself. At the Suncoast Sports Club, Inc., we believe children should be able to play and interact with their peers in an adult supervised and fun sports environment. We want them to be able to enjoy sports and learn basic skills while having fun. We don't want them to be bogged down with too many rules in the early stages (3 to 6 years of age). We want them to have the opportunity to learn the game by playing and to gain confidence in their abilities to play by the rules. Our philosophy is all about giving children the chance to have fun while learning how to play a sport. We provide an adult-supervised environment that encourages children to interact with each other and learn the basics of each sport. We don't want them to have to worry about too many rules in the early stages, but to learn the game by playing and to gain confidence in their abilities to play by the rules. With this approach, we believe children can have a safe, fun, and productive experience playing sports.
