At the Treasure Coast Rowing Club (TCRC), we are committed to fostering a passion for the sport of rowing. Our competitive team structure is designed to provide members with the opportunity to learn and develop their rowing skills. Sarasota Youth Sailing was founded in the late 1970s by Kathy Waggener, and began with seven students in the first class. In 1980, the organization was incorporated as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation. 

Sarasota Youth Sailing provides a unique opportunity for children to explore the world of sailing. The original Clearwater Prams provide an exciting experience for children to explore the waters of Sarasota Bay. With singlehanded Laser Sailing, children can explore the waters independently. 

Sarasota Youth Sailing is a great way for children to gain confidence and develop skills that will last a lifetime. With the guidance of Kathy Waggener, and the support from the organization’s 501 (c) (3) status, children can be sure that they will be in good hands.

MacArthur Beach State Park, parents and kids can enjoy the beautiful outdoors while learning more about the area’s natural environment. The park features nature trails and picnic areas, as well as kayak rentals and a Nature & Welcome Center, perfect for parents and children to learn more about the area’s wildlife and ecology. With its pristine beach and blue water, John D. MacArthur Beach State Park is the perfect place to spend the day soaking up the sunshine or kayaking the waters of the Atlantic Ocean barrier island.

Riverbend Park is an outdoor adventure paradise! John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park and its adjacent Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary are havens for wildlife and marine life.
