Welcome, dear friends, to the sun-soaked, orange-juiced state of Florida: the place where palm trees sway, dolphins play, and kids are born with baseball gloves instead of hands! Okay, not really – but you wouldn't know that by the way they play! Baseball is more than just a pastime here, it's a way of life. Every morning, as the Florida sun peeks over the horizon and kisses the dewy grass, kids all over the state leap out of bed and into their trusty cleats. They grab their beloved bats, nicknamed things like "Swingerella" or "Sir Hits-a-lot," and they rush to their local baseball diamonds. Like magnets to a fridge, they're drawn to the smell of fresh leather and the sound of a ball smacking into a glove. They laugh, they cheer, they dive into the dirt and slide into bases. And let's not forget about that one kid who always forgets to take the bubblegum out of his mouth before the game, ending up blowing bubbles as big as his helmet while running bases! Leading the charge is the coolest baseball coach in the universe, Chuckles the Baseball-Playing-Chicken. No one knows why he's a chicken, but man, can he hit a home run! With his chicken-sized baseball cap and matching uniform, he's quite a sight to behold, puffed-up and strutting around the diamond, clucking out advice. And when he's not showing kids how to perfect their pitch, he's cracking eggcellent jokes that have everyone rolling on the grass in laughter. In Florida, the game of baseball isn't just about winning or losing. It's about the joy of the game, the camaraderie among the players and learning from Coach Chuckles, the baseball-playing chicken. So, grab your gear, kids! It's time to play ball!

Argyle Forest Park is an oasis of outdoor recreation and fun located in the Argyle East Village subdivision of southwest Jacksonville. The park was created by a developer who donated it to the Argyle Athletic Association in 1988. In 1994, the Association donated the north two-thirds of the park to the City, which subsequently renovated it and added ball fields, a concession building, and other amenities. The south one-third portion was purchased by the City in 1986. The park is now jointly operated and maintained by the City and the Association, which provides T-ball/softball/baseball programs for boys and girls 4 to 18 years of age. It also serves as a venue for non-athletic events such as live concerts. Families and community members alike can enjoy the park's numerous amenities, making it a great place to spend a day.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is an amazing organization that has been helping athletes around the globe since 1954, and has touched millions of lives. FCA focuses on utilizing the platform of sports to reach athletes and coaches with the transformative power of Jesus Christ. In addition, FCA works hard to equip and empower coaches and athletes to work together to make a difference in their local communities. FCA has a great mission statement that parents can get behind: To lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church. With this in mind, it is important for parents to remember that youth sports should be about the development of the child’s character and ability, and not about inflating the ego of the adult. All players should be asked to practice and play hard, and the end results of the game will take care of themselves. Let’s all pursue excellence with joy!

FFBM uses the game of baseball as a way to reach out to the youth of the world. It is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that was founded by a Jacksonville native who wanted to "pay it forward" and offer an alternative to youth leagues in the area. Through mentorship programs, clinics, tournaments, international leagues, and donating baseball equipment to underprivileged youth, FFBM seeks to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. The founder of FFBM, a former Jacksonville University collegiate athlete, has a long-standing love for the game of baseball. He first fell in love with the sport playing on a field called Faith Field, where he was first introduced to the love of Jesus Christ. After graduating with a baseball scholarship, he went on to coach for 10 years and has been the president of Farah Financial Group since 1987. His passion for the game combined with his faith is what led to the creation of FFBM.
