Argyle Forest Park is an oasis of outdoor recreation and fun located in the Argyle East Village subdivision of southwest Jacksonville. The park was created by a developer who donated it to the Argyle Athletic Association in 1988. In 1994, the Association donated the north two-thirds of the park to the City, which subsequently renovated it and added ball fields, a concession building, and other amenities. The south one-third portion was purchased by the City in 1986.
The park is now jointly operated and maintained by the City and the Association, which provides T-ball/softball/baseball programs for boys and girls 4 to 18 years of age. It also serves as a venue for non-athletic events such as live concerts. Families and community members alike can enjoy the park's numerous amenities, making it a great place to spend a day.
