In the small yet mighty state of Delaware, nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Chesapeake Bay, there is a league of extraordinary kiddos who adore the sport of baseball. Delaware, or "Dee" as it's affectionately known by its locals, is not just a state known for its breathtaking beaches, bountiful peach orchards, and the world's largest frying pan (yes, you read correctly). No siree! It's also home to the most hilarious, fun-loving, baseball-playing children you could ever hope to meet. Meet our friend, Pitcher Pete. He's not your average pitcher, you see. Pete has the incredible ability to throw curveballs that defy gravity and knock the spots off the baseball! And when he isn't firing supersonic pitches, he spends his time perfecting his moonwalk slide into home base. It's a sight to behold, let me tell you. Then there's Catcher Cassie, a girl of few words but many actions. She once caught a fly ball while performing a perfect pirouette, and she didn't even muss up her signature polka-dotted baseball cap. Cassie is known far and wide in Dee for her uncanny ability to catch any ball, regardless of how badly Pitcher Pete has disoriented it. In this enchanting corner of Delaware, these kids have turned baseball into a magical game full of laughter, unexpected twists, and downright ridiculous moves. You haven't really seen baseball until you've seen it played Delaware-style, where the spirit of the game is joyous, playful, and just a little bit bonkers. Just ask Pitcher Pete or Catcher Cassie!

Founded in 1957, Naamans Little League's inaugural season was composed of 4 teams with a total of 60 boys with games played at Cohens field located at Naamans and Ebright Roads. As the league grew Pennington Field was constructed on Naamans Road in 1962, but was abandoned in 1967 to make way for the Channin Elementary School. Also, in 1962 the league was allowed use a plot of 15 acres on Silverside Road near Concord Pike,(now Concord Plaza) where Field #1 was built in 1962, Field #2 in 1966 and Field #3 in 1970. The organization grew so rapidly that by 1968 we had split into two leagues, thus Brandywine Little League was formed. In 1970 the Senior League program was added, in 1975 Tee Ball and in 1976 a Big League team. In 1974 the league had to relocate its fields again to a site behind the Alfred I. DuPont Elementary School, which is now the Concord Gallery Shopping Center on Concord Pike (Rt.202) and Mount Lebanon Road. This property was donated to the league by Frank Acierno and remains the home of Naamans Little League today.
