Once upon a time, in the small but mighty state of Delaware - you know, the one squeezed between Pennsylvania and Maryland like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich? - there lived a bunch of creative, dramatic, and downright hilarious kids who just loved theater and drama. These kids had a knack for turning their wild imaginations into awesome performances that could make anyone roll with laughter or wipe away a tear. One of these kids was a bubbly young girl named Del, short for Delaware (I mean, what else would you name a kid from Delaware?). Del was the undisputed queen of drama. She could play a cactus with emotions if you asked her to. She could make you believe that she was a cupcake being chased by a hungry dinosaur. Yes, she was that good. Then there was a boy named Drama-Dan, who could twist his face into more shapes than a pretzel maker on a sugar rush. Drama-Dan was as funny as a dancing penguin wearing polka-dotted pyjamas. Seriously, if you ever saw him perform, you'd laugh so much your belly would ache! Together, these Delaware kids and their drama troupe, known as The Little Diamond Dramatists (because Delaware is The Diamond State, you see), they created magic. Day after day, they practiced their lines, learned new moves, and crafted stories that were as wild and fun as they were. Since our inception in 2018, we have been the proud USA National Office for the acclaimed World Robot Olympiad, a global robotics competition that has over 35,000 participants from more than 80 countries. She truly cherishes the opportunity to blend her two greatest passions into one fulfilling endeavor. In 2014, Courtney took over the Drama Kids of Wilmington locations, and by 2019, she had expanded into Delaware County. It's been a rewarding journey for her, and she's excited about the positive change she can bring to even more children. Drama Kids stands for much more than just drama classes. It's about instilling a sense of confidence in our children and teaching them invaluable skills that they can carry into their futures. Courtney is a firm believer in this mission and models it every day in her work.
