Once upon a time, in a land called Washington, D.C., a crazy, cool place where towering monuments whisper stories of history, and Cherry Blossom trees wink in the Spring, there lived a wild bunch of kids! They were not your average kids though, oh no! They were the STEM/STEAM gang! The city was their playground, and they ruled it with calculators, microscopes, and paintbrushes. These kids were quirky, funny, and smart. They were the superheroes of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. Let's not forget about Calvin the Calculating Caterpillar, their imaginary sidekick. Calvin, with his oversized glasses, always had funny equations scribbled all over his body. He was the life of their STEM/STEAM party! In the heart of the city, there was a magical place known as the Smithsonian, the gang's favorite hideout. With Calvin, they would sneak into the Space and Air Museum, pretending to be astronauts in sparkling suits, exploring galaxies of knowledge. Or, they would dive deep into the Natural History Museum, doing dinosaur math and creating colorful chemical reactions. At the National Art Gallery, they would paint their scientific discoveries and engineer masterpieces with popsicle sticks. They would wire up Van Gogh's starry night to light bulbs and make the stars twinkle or dissect the geometry in Picasso's paintings. These D.C. kids were curious and creative, always ready to solve problems and bring STEAM ideas to life. They delighted in the fun of learning, and in turn, they made their city a brighter place to live. With a laugh and a smile, they proved that in the world of STEM/STEAM, anything was possible!

Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith. Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups. Whether you're planning a camp, a retreat, or a team-building excursion, our serene setting and well-equipped facilities provide the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable experience.
