Welcome to the curious and captivating state of Connecticut, or as our cool imaginary character, Fisherman Fred, likes to call it, the "Fish-tastic state of Connecti-Catch-It!" This teeny-weeny state, that's barely a speck on the map, is bursting with much more fun than you could ever fathom. From its luscious green hills that roll like waves, to the shimmering streams that sparkle under the sun, Connecticut is the perfect playground for all sorts of adventurous kids. Now, let's talk about Connecticut’s kiddie fishing brigade. They're not just any ordinary fish catchers, oh no! They are the brave and witty “Connecti-Catchers," named by none other than the legendary Fisherman Fred himself. These young anglers are the tiny heroes who explore the watery wilderness with their trusty fishing rods, just like knights with their shining swords. The Connecti-Catchers are famous for their giggles that echo across the lakes and their hilarious fishing tales that are almost as tall as Fisherman Fred’s hat. They can make a stubborn fish dance on their bait, and if you listen closely, you may even hear them whispering fishy languages to lure the slippery critters! These young whippersnappers are no less than magicians as they make fishes appear out of thin water. Fisherman Fred often chuckles and says, “In the magical state of Connecti-Catch-It, we don’t just fish, we create stories. So, come join the Connecti-Catchers, and maybe you’ll catch not just a fish, but a tale to tell!" Just remember, in this funny fish-filled world of the Connecti-Catchers, the rule is to keep your bait ready, your heart light, and your laughter loud. After all, the best catch is a day full of fun!

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
