Once upon a time, in the charming state of Connecticut, there was a delightful bunch of kids who had a peculiar hobby. They were not into video games, sports, or comic books. They were into something much more melodious and magical - playing musical instruments! Our story takes place in the heart of Connecticut, a place known for its picturesque landscape, with rolling hills and beautiful forests that look like a giant's green quilt spread across the land. Now don't be fooled, this is not your ordinary quilt, but a magical one where each patch is a bustling town with enchanting stories. Among these towns, there existed a group of musically talented kiddos who march to the beat of their own cymbal, or rather, strum to the rhythm of their own guitar. They called themselves the "Connecticut Crescendos". The leader of the pack was a cool, imaginary character named "Rhythmo". Rhythmo was born from the sound of a thunderous drum roll and had a body made of musical notes. He wore a jazzy hat made from a cymbal and played an air guitar that emitted colorful musical notes. The Connecticut Crescendos and their leader Rhythmo were known throughout the state for their enchanting symphonies and the laughter they spread. They could turn the dullest of days into a musical fiesta. The children of Connecticut would eagerly wait for their performances because seeing Rhythmo make music with his magical air guitar was a sight to behold! So here's to the land of the Nutmeg State, where every kid has a rhythm in their heart and a song on their lips, led by a cool, imaginary, musical maestro named Rhythmo!

a man and woman playing guitars

When I was thirteen, I dreamed of being a rock star. By seventeen, reality set in. I had to find something that would open doors for me in the real world. I chose classical guitar and headed off to college in Connecticut. There I found a vibrant music scene where I honed my skills and learned to read music. My education opened the door to an exciting career in musical theatre. I was fortunate to land a part in a revival of Don Quixote at The Goodspeed Opera House. That experience hooked me. Since then I’ve gone on to play in many other productions, and even learned to play multiple instruments. Today, I'm living the dream I had as a thirteen-year-old. I'm performing and creating music, and I'm doing it in a way I never would have imagined. It's a fulfilling life, and I'm grateful for the chance I got to make my dreams come true.
