Nestled in the northeastern corner of the United States is a neat little rectangle known as Connecticut, or CT for short. CT is known for many things: its mouth-watering pizza, colorful fall foliage, and its mighty rivers. But perhaps, one of the most buzzing hives of activity in CT is not what you would expect. It's not the bustling streets of Hartford or the sandy shores of Mystic, but the sprightly dojos where the CT kids participate in Kung Fu! These Kung Fu kids aren't your ordinary Connecticut crew, oh no! They've got a funny, imaginary friend named Kung Fu Kip. Now, you might be thinking, Kip? Isn't that a name for a sleepyhead? Well, this Kip is anything but sleepy! He's a hyperactive chipmunk mascot with a black belt in Kung Fu and a knack for making everyone laugh. He bounces around the dojo, demonstrating high kicks and swift punches, often tripping over his own tail and landing in a pile of giggles. The CT Kung Fu kids, much like their pal Kip, are a lively bunch, full of energy, giggles, and an insatiable desire to learn Kung Fu. They tumble and roll, kick and punch, all under the watchful eye of Kip, who, despite his goofiness, is a Kung Fu master. What Kip lacks in grace, he makes up for with enthusiasm, and the kids love him for it. And in between the jabs, the whoops, and the laughter, something amazing happens. These kids, they learn. They learn to be confident, disciplined, and compassionate. Kip may be a clown, but he's also a hero. The Kung Fu kids of CT may be pint-sized, but in their hearts, they are as mighty as the Connecticut River itself!

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
