Now Connecticut may have been small, but it was packed with natural beauty. It had rolling green hills, whispering forests, and trails that wound like spaghetti dropped from a giant's hand! Among these evergreen landscapes, every winter covered the valleys with a fluffy blanket of snow, turning Connecticut into a snowy wonderland. One look at it, and you'd think a giant Frosty the Snowman shook himself after a snowball fight, leaving soft, sparkling snow everywhere! Now, let's zoom in on our skiing squad, a band of audacious kids happier on skis than on solid ground! Leading this troupe was the coolest, funniest, and most imaginative character of all, named Chilly Billy. He was as quick as a toboggan and had a heart as warm as hot cocoa. With his neon helmet and polka-dotted ski suit, he looked like a comic-strip hero who had jumped right out of the pages into the snowy world of Connecticut! Chilly Billy had this funny trick where he would ski backward and make funny faces, causing an uproar of laughter echoing through the snowy hills. The skiing squad of Connecticut, under the playful leadership of Chilly Billy, spent their winters swooshing down slopes, leaving trails of joy and laughter. Their motto was simple - 'We Ski, Therefore We Are, and if you can’t stand up, remember to roll with style!'.

This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith. Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups.
