Connecticut, fondly known as the Nutmeg State, is much more than a small speck on the map of the United States. It's a place where you can discover wild adventures nestled between patches of vibrant green forest, lazy rivers meandering through quaint towns, and the sea kissing the sandy beaches. It's a magical land where the air is always fresh, and the people are as warm and welcoming as a mug of hot cocoa on a cold winter's day. Now, let's talk about the kids of Connecticut, who are wildly known for their passion for horseback riding. These aren't your average run-of-the-mill children, no sir! They are pint-sized equestrians, with the spirit of wild stallions and the hearts as big as the horses they ride. And they have a unique friend cheering them on - a goofy character named Galloping Giggles, also known as GG. Galloping Giggles is a hilarious horse with an uncanny sense of humor. It's said he once tried to enter a comedy show but was denied because he "horse laughed" too much. But that's GG; he's so full of giggles that even his galloping sounds like laughter. He is the kids' biggest cheerleader, always ready with a joke or a funny face to brighten their day. Each day after school, the kids sprint to the stables, their laughter blending with the clattering hooves and GG’s infectious giggling. They climb onto their horses, their eyes sparkling with excitement and adventure. With GG leading the way, they trot, canter, and gallop, exploring the picturesque Connecticut countryside, their laughter echoing across the hills. So, whenever you hear a distant rumble of hooves and peals of laughter in Connecticut, know that the children and their goofy friend GG are off on another whimsical horseback adventure!

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
At US Horse Welfare and Rescue, we provide a safe and supportive environment for horses and humans alike. Our rescue horses have been through a lot, but with the help of our dedicated staff, they are able to find a safe haven and heal. Our equine-assisted learning and therapeutic programs help to bring comfort to both horses and humans. Through these initiatives, we are able to help people find solace from the chaos of the world. We are proud to provide a space where horses and humans can come together and heal.
