About Silver Birch Ranch

When Pastor Richard Wager took the senior pastor position at a church in the Lawndale area of Chicago in 1967, he was hesitant because he had been running fruitful ministries, including the founding of an inner-city school and a camp, Phantom Ranch, in southern Wisconsin. Wager, his wife Joyce, and his faithful secretary Roberta Berggren, were all loathe to leave these ministries behind. However, God had other plans. In November 1967, Rich found a camp for sale in an abandoned girls' camp, located on a nice lake and just minutes away from the raging white water activities of the Wolf River. Nestled in the Nicolet National Forest, it had lake and river access and was perfect for future horse and ski trails. With faith and grace, Rich borrowed the down payment and the Silver Birch Ranch was born.

SUMMER YOUTH CAMPS

We offer 12 youth camps for those who have completed grades 3-12. Some of these camps are reserved by specific churches and aren't available for public registration. We love having a summer full of youth wanting to learn more about God and growing their relationships with others through camping!

WINTER JAM

Winter Jam is a junior high and high school winter experience you don’t want to miss! This weekend is perfect for individuals or youth groups. We have everything you’re looking for right here at Silver Birch Ranch. Cabin counselors are provided or youth groups can provide their own leadership. Come join us for a weekend of fun, fellowship, inspiration, and lots of snow!

SCRAPBOOKING RETREATS

Come join us in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin and take time away to do what you enjoy ... scrapbook! Enjoy great fellowship with other women and discover how scrapbooking plays a vital role in building relationships, capturing memories, framing our lives by God’s design, and celebrating the gifts of family and friends that God has given us. You’ll be able to set up, dig in, and scrap uninterrupted and undisturbed for an entire weekend. You won’t have to stop to cook because all of your meals will be prepared for you.
