About 4-H Winnebago County
4-H members come from all age groups and backgrounds. We have 4-H members from Kindergarten through Grade 13, so there is something for everyone. Not only that, but 4-H clubs offer activities that are appropriate for all ages and stages. It doesn't matter if you love animals, art, science, cooking, or robotics, Winnebago County 4-H has a club or project group for you.
At 4-H, we don't make any distinctions by gender. Whether you're a boy or a girl, you're welcome to join and take part in any of our activities. We encourage collaboration and inclusiveness, so everyone can benefit from the skills and experiences that 4-H has to offer.

4-H Community Clubs
A 4-H Community Club can be any size from a small group of youth from one neighborhood to a larger club consisting of youth from all over the county. 4-H Community Clubs may focus on a single project or a variety of projects. 4-H Community Clubs typically meet monthly in the evenings and on weekends with meetings held in an inclusive community space or may meet virtually. In most community clubs youth officers are elected to guide the activities of the club.
4-H Single Project Club/Group
A 4-H Single Project Club/Group focuses on meetings and education relating to one subject area. Winnebago County currently has three Single Project Clubs/Groups:
Horse & Pony Project
Dairy Project
Dog Project
4-H Afterschool Clubs
4-H Afterschool Clubs are a program offered to youth following the school day. 4-H Afterschool Clubs are often divided by age groups and frequently meet in the school building or partnering organization that provides a safe and supportive environment for youth after school.
