Jill Hollander is an accomplished professional vocalist who specializes in teaching voice and piano students of all ages. She grew up in a musical family, with her father being a concert pianist and her mother a cello teacher. From a young age, Jill has been singing and performing at her father’s concerts. She went on to gain qualifications from Lawrence University and Alverno College in vocal performance, music education and French. Her repertoire covers a wide range of styles, from Broadway and classical to jazz and pop. She has performed in many of the Milwaukee area’s top theatres, including the Florentine Opera, Shorewood Players, Off the Wall Broadway Theatre, Sunset Playhouse, Charles Allis Art Museum and the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum. Today, Jill has established a successful private vocal and piano studio in the Milwaukee area. Jill Hollander is a professional vocalist who offers voice and piano lessons to students of all ages. She comes from a musical family, with her father being a concert pianist and her mother a cello teacher. Since the age of 10, Jill has been singing and performing at her father’s concerts. With qualifications in vocal performance, music education and French from Lawrence University and Alverno College, Jill is a highly trained performer. Her performances have spanned a variety of styles, from classical to Broadway, light opera and jazz. She has performed in many of Milwaukee’s leading theatres, such as the Florentine Opera, Shorewood Players, Off the Wall Broadway Theatre, Sunset Playhouse, Charles Allis Art Museum and the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum. Today, she maintains her own private vocal and piano studio in the Milwaukee area.

VOCAL LESSONS

I teach voice students 6 through adult. We work on breathing techniques, language study, music interpretation, and style. I like to introduce students to new genres and styles of music to help them grow as singers, while also working on repertoire that they love.

I teach piano students at the beginning and intermediate levels. We focus on practice techniques, note reading, music theory, and interpretation.
