About Camp Northwoods

At our camps, girls have the opportunity to explore and express themselves in a safe and supported all-girl environment. Our expert staff and Girl Scout sisters have been providing these opportunities for more than 100 years, giving campers the confidence to try new things. As a result, our campers develop courage, confidence, and character – qualities that will help them to make the world a better place. Through the dedication of more than 6,500 volunteers, we are able to serve nearly 18,000 girls in southern Minnesota, western Wisconsin, and one county in Iowa. Our camps provide girls with an enriching and empowering experience. With the help of our experienced staff and Girl Scout sisters, campers are encouraged to take risks, be creative, and develop their character. By providing a safe and supportive environment, girls can find the courage to make the world a better place.

Resident Camp

Send your kid on an adventure that they’ll remember for the rest of their life! Resident camp gives campers the unique opportunity to make new friends, bond with and learn from different adults, discover their strengths, develop leadership skills, try new activities, and seek challenges all while having lots of fun! Campers can choose specialty camps like archery, horseback riding, sailing, and science, or enjoy a classic summer camp experience (that has a little bit of everything!). Our camps are safe, hands-on, and inspiring, and our locations will acquaint campers with our region’s landscape, from woods and wetlands to prairies and rolling hills. Campers will find fun, courage, and purpose—and best of all, they’ll find themselves.

Power Girls

Power Girls is a year-round series of programs that gives campers the chance to explore the trades while enhancing their STEM skills. Whether a week-long camp or a day-long workshop, the’ll practice problem solving, experiment with technology, develop leadership, and take positive risks by discovering new skills—like woodworking, welding, sustainable design, and renewable energy.

Adventure Club

Outdoor adventures have a long-standing tradition in Girl Scouts. To celebrate our strong history of encouraging youth to be Go-Getters, Innovators, Risk Takers, and Leaders through outdoor experiences – we bring you Adventure Club! Adventure Club is for any Girl Scout who wants to get outdoors and push themselves to have more outdoor adventures than they have had before. Adventure Club programs and activities are mostly outdoors, engage with the natural world, and challenge you to try something new or go further. Girl Scouts who participate can earn the Adventure Club Patch and will receive the Adventure Club E-Newsletter.
