About Community Unity Arts

For the last decade, the open source community has been a major influence in my life. The willingness of people to reach out to complete strangers and help them solve a problem is truly inspiring. This connection has taught me a lot and inspired me to give back to my local community. In turn, this has been the driving force behind Community Unity Arts. Our goal is to create the same sense of connection and community, but through art. If you are looking at this website and wondering why it is so generic and basic, it is because it is freely hosted and created from scratch. As our organization evolves, so too will the website. If you would like to get involved and help out on the tech side, please reach out to us. We also welcome any and all collaboration on community created art. Everyone’s input is necessary for us to achieve our goals.

Community Unity Arts

Community Unity Arts encourages creative expression to highlight the importance of human connection. At Community Unity Arts, we believe: that art and fun have the power to open people beyond learned limitations, judgements, and divisions; art can capture a community’s essence, inspire people to greater harmony, and challenge preconceived ideas. Our goal is to use art, music, and fun to transcend the polarization and division of our times. Despite the many forces that divide us—by skin color, politics, class, spiritual orientation etc., there is a deeper current uniting people. Increased demonstrations, civic engagement, and kind acts of LOVE often go unreported. Community unity through art is an idea, together we are action! We are all artists.
