In the cheese-loving, cow-dotted landscape of Wisconsin, where the mighty Packers play football and the winters can freeze your toes off, there exists an adventurous group of kids. No, they're not superheroes with capes or wizards with magic wands, they're the Windsurfing Whiz Kids of Wisconsin. Meet our cool imaginary friend, Wally the Waddling Walleye. Now, Wally may be a fish, but he's no ordinary fish. He's got a unique talent - he can windsurf! Yes, you heard that right, a windsurfing fish! Wally is the honorary coach of our Windsurfing Whiz Kids. Wally and the Whiz Kids gather at the dazzling shores of Lake Michigan, where the wind whispers secrets of the deep and the sun you'd think, was sugar-coated, for it shines so sweetly. With sails as colorful as a painter’s palette and boards as sleek as arrowheads, they ride the waves, mastering the art of balance and resilience. Their laughter echoes across the lake as they tumble, splash, and then rise again, determined and unafraid. In Wisconsin, windsurfing is not just a sport, it's a rite of passage. It's about friendship, camaraderie, and the sheer joy of skimming across the water, powered by the wind. You'd think they were part bird, part fish, and part daredevil, these Windsurfing Whiz Kids! So if you ever find yourself in Wisconsin, make sure to look out for Wally and his team. And don’t be surprised if you see a walleye windsurfing past you. Just remember, in Wisconsin, the cheese is always extra - and so is the fun!

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
