In the sprawling, vast plains of the Lone Star state, Texas, there exists a wild, enchanting world where gravity is defied and the human body becomes an instrument of extraordinary artistry. This is the magical realm of Texas gymnastics, a fun-packed activity adored by Texan tykes, who twist, twirl, flip, and leap with enviable agility and grace. Imagine a jolly, burly cowboy named Bouncy Bob, with a ten-gallon hat and boots that twinkle brighter than the stars in the Texas night sky. Bob is a former rodeo star turned gymnastics guru, who teaches the young Texans the secret tricks of the trade. With a jovial laugh and a hearty "Yeehaw!" he encourages the children to reach for the sky, just as they would to rope a wild stallion, or to tumble like a tumbleweed through the dry desert. Whether it's the bold, brave boys who spin on the high bar like twirling lassos, or the spirited, sprightly girls who balance on beams narrower than a prickly cactus spine, the Texan gymnastics troops are a joy to behold. They are as diverse as Texas itself, but united by the thrill of defying gravity, their eyes shining brighter than the twinkling stars over the Alamo. The world of gymnastics in Texas is a grand rodeo of adventure, where children learn to be fearless, flexible, and most of all, to have fun! With our friend, Bouncy Bob leading the way, the gymnastics gyms across Texas echo with laughter, cheers, and the occasional "Yeehaw!" as these tiny gymnasts tumble their way into our hearts.

At URJ Greene Family Camp, camp magic isn't just for summer! We bring the joy, camaraderie, and enriching activities of camp into every day of the year. We've made it our mission to be a constant source of engaging Jewish experiences, broadcasting the best of our camp activities to our community, no matter the season. We're proud to say our programs, both summer and year-round, are firmly rooted in four core Jewish values. First, we emphasize Hineni - being an individual and understanding one's unique worth. Second, we promote Reut - the creation of meaningful, lasting relationships. We also value Kavod, meaning respect for peers and oneself. And, finally, we celebrate Am Yisrael, the community of Jewish people. These time-honored, universally embraced values provide the foundation for every event we organize. They're how we anchor our activities in the rich tapestry of Jewish tradition. By doing so, we aim to ensure that Judaism remains relevant, accessible, and meaningful for all our campers in the present day.
