Tiger Kim's World Class Tae Kwon Do has been empowering families in the Piedmont Triad and Greater Charlotte/Fort Mill areas for over 23 years. Founded in 1998 by Grandmaster Woo Sup Kim, it has grown to become the largest martial arts provider in the area. Grandmaster Kim brings 35 years of martial arts experience and has been a part of the Korean Tiger Demonstration Team and an Honorary Team Captain of the US Olympic Team at the 2012 Games in London. Grandmaster Kim continues to be highly involved in the operations of all 7 of our locations. He oversees the student belt testing for color belt and black belt exams, as well as conducting master/instructor training for our full-time staff on a weekly basis. His passion for taekwondo is evident in the curriculum he has designed that is taught in our schools. It combines taekwondo forms, practical self-defense, and Olympic-style sparring skills. Our instructors focus on teaching life skills as well as physical techniques, to help students of all ages and levels gain increased focus, confidence, and determination. At Tiger Kim's World Class Tae Kwon Do, Grandmaster Kim’s philosophy that taekwondo is about self-improvement as well as self-defense is at the heart of our teaching methods. Our team of masters and instructors are dedicated to helping our students and families build a strong foundation for success.

Little Tigers Program (4-5)

It’s a Fun introduction to Fitness. Each 30 minute session includes exercises to develop balance, coordination, and gross motor skills. Your child will run, jump, kick, and have a great time while improving their athleticism. It’s a perfect way to develop healthy habits and a positive attitude towards physical activity. And for children who are constantly in motion, Taekwondo is a great outlet to burn off excess energy!

Kids Classes (6-12)

A Martial Arts Athlete is a Complete Athlete. The reality today is that kids have many reasons not to be active. The temptation to spend long periods of time in front of a digital screen can lead to inactivity and decreased physical fitness. Taekwondo is a fun way to stay active and to improve strength, flexibility and endurance. Your child will also increase their coordination, reflexes, and athletic skills. Best of all, they will love the excitement of learning Taekwondo kicks, forms, and self defense techniques
