About Camp McCall
That’s why the South Carolina Baptist Convention (SCBC) is proud to partner with churches to evangelize, disciple, and mentor the next generation through summer camp, retreat hosting, and missions education. Through these opportunities, campers have the chance to not only learn new skills and gain new knowledge, but also to grow spiritually and emotionally.
The SCBC is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for campers to explore their faith. We are dedicated to creating an atmosphere that encourages campers to become strong followers of Christ. At Camp McCall, campers have the opportunity to participate in activities such as worship services, Bible study, and small group discussions. Through these activities, campers will be able to grow spiritually, learn more about the Bible, and build meaningful relationships with their peers and counselors.
Camp McCall is a great opportunity for children and adolescents to gain invaluable life skills, make lasting friendships, and grow in their faith. Through the partnership with the SCBC, campers have the chance to explore their spirituality and learn how to serve God and serve others. We believe that camp is an integral part of a child's spiritual and emotional development, and we are proud to be a part of that journey.

LAD CAMP
Offered for 1st-4th graders, this is the perfect introduction to summer camp. Campers register by church/group, and each group stays together in a cabin. Each group must also have one adult male for every 5 campers. If you are looking for a great way to introduce your child to summer camp, this is it! This year we are offering 2 Lad camps - we'd love to see you here!
ALPHA CAMP
Identical in duration to Lad Camps, the main difference in Alpha Camps is there is no age limit. Consequently, we get many multi-generational campers: father, sons, grandfathers, even a crazy uncle or two! If you have a camper that’s not ready for a week at Camp, or still wants to attend with an adult guardian, this is the experience for them. Similar to Lad Camp, each group must also have one adult male for every 5 campers. This year we are offering four Alpha Camp experience, including one 4 day Alpha Camp - we’d love to see you there!
CRUSADER CAMP
The one and only, our mainstay here at McCall since 1960! This is a five day (Mon-Fri) camp for 4th-12th graders, with age-appropriate cabins & activities for each age group. If you are a high schooler, check out the information below on our High School Cabin. Both individuals and groups are welcome. Large groups from churches are split into smaller pairs of campers to increase social interaction, growth and development. Unaccompanied by parents or adults, this is the classic summer camp experience that kids remember for a lifetime! This year we will offer 5 Crusader/Ad Rec camps - we’d love to see you here!
Camp McCall’s Adventure Trip camp is a week-long adventure-based experience for High School campers in various outdoor adventure activities. The challenge and adversity of the experience, coupled with the incredible natural beauty and small group interactions, makes this a dynamic time of growth and discovery. Trip Camp is an out-of-camp 5 day, 4 night experience that has served as a rite of passage for thousands of young men over the years. This year, we are offering 5 different Adventure Recreation Camps
