Once upon a sunny, silly day, in our rainbow colored, sweet-tea-sipping state of South Carolina, where Spanish moss twinkles on the trees and porpoises prance in the surf, lived a gaggle of giggling, gravity-defying younglings. These were no ordinary kids, oh no! They were the Spectacular Sky-Dancers of South Carolina, the most adventurous aerial artists in all the land. These kids could twirl on a trapeze, frolic on silks, and juggle jellies, while hanging upside down like goofy, grinning bats! From Myrtle Beach to the Blue Ridge Mountains, they’d sweep through the skies, their laughter echoing across the palmetto-lined landscape. Our favorite among them was a spritely sprite named Swirlin' Sterling. He was as swift as the Carolina wren and as daring as the Atlantic hurricane. Sterling had a magic hula hoop that allowed him to hover in the air, and his hair, the color of a Carolina sunset, would wave around his face as if getting tickled by the wind. Sterling and his high-flying friends were known for their circus-style shenanigans and mid-air munchies. They’d munch on boiled peanuts and peaches while performing pirouettes above the cotton candy clouds. Some say you could still find kernels of boiled peanuts and peach pits falling from the sky, souvenirs from their aerial buffet. So, kids, if you're ever in the palmetto playground of South Carolina and you spot a peach pit or peanut kernel falling from the sky, look up! You just might see Swirlin' Sterling and his Spectacular Sky-Dancers spinning and swirling, high above the lazy, lapping waves.

Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith. Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups. Whether you're planning a camp, a retreat, or a team-building excursion, our serene setting and well-equipped facilities provide the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable experience.
