At Charleston’s #1 Martial Arts Training Center, we offer martial arts classes for children, adults, and families. Our classes go beyond teaching the skills and techniques of martial arts – they also focus on developing the character and success traits of our students. Little Tigers (3-5)

Young children who learn martial arts find out quickly that each movement must be intentional. They learn to control their movements to the best of their ability. They also practice hand-eye coordination and learn about their bodies. That means they’ll be less likely to be unintentionally destructive. Martial arts instruction requires students to pursue goals to earn new belts. Young kids can easily become frustrated when they don’t get what they want, but studying martial arts helps them learn the power of persistence. The physical activity in our classes also helps kids manage stress and anxiety by allowing them to burn it off in a safe and constructive way.

Teen and Adult

Even when you do find time to hit the gym, regardless of having a schedule that’s full of work, family time, and other obligations, you might be bored by your same old workout. There’s nothing exciting about another go-round on the treadmill or elliptical – and you might need some encouragement to stick to a schedule and achieve your fitness goals. Martial arts classes for adults focus on building core strength and cardiovascular fitness in a fun, social setting. Why not break out of your dull routine? It’s common for adults to struggle with self-esteem as they deal with competitive work environments and overloaded to-do lists.
