About Guitar Studio RI

The Guitar Studio, Inc. has been in the Kearns family since 2002, when Matthew & Patricia Kearns opened their doors to the community. For the past 19 years, they have been providing high quality lessons to the public. The Guitar Studio, Inc. has seen much success over the years, with many students going on to win state competitions, music scholarships, and gain further success in music, theater, and the arts. Some have even pursued careers in music and performance, with some even returning to the studio to become instructors themselves. The Kearns family is proud to be able to share their passion and knowledge of music and the arts with the community. They look forward to continuing to serve the community for many more years to come.

Private Lessons
We offer high quality private music lessons in guitar, bass, piano, drums, voice, woodwinds and brass. We offer 1/2 hour and 1 hour lessons for all ages and skill levels. Lessons are taught in person or virtual and are one-on-one instruction. All of our instructors are knowledgeable and friendly.

Rock Camps
The Guitar Studio gives kids the opportunity to perform live in our Rock Band Camp program! It's one of our most popular events! Students studying guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, saxophone and voice are placed together to form a band . The band rehearses with an instructor once a week for 6 weeks and then on the 7th week they play a show at a rock club in the area. The kids pick the songs, band name and work together to learn what it's like to be in a real band . Students are placed based on age and skill level. Currently we run two rock camps per year, one in the Fall and one in the Spring.

Recording Camps
The Guitar Studio offers several recording camps each year. Students over the course of a week record a CD right here at the studio. The camp meets every day of the week from 10 AM to 2 PM to write and record music . Students learn song writing and the recording process. Students record their favorite songs as well . Students are placed together based on age and skill level . The camp is currently offered in July and August , but we have run them during school vacation weeks as well!
