About MoonStone Art Studio

At MoonStone Art Studio, we believe that everyone has artistic talent, and our mission is to help individuals explore their own unique gifts. Rather than focusing on the pursuit of perfection in art, we emphasize the process and enjoyment of making art. Our students learn to appreciate the sensory nature of art, and to experiment with different media and techniques. Watching their confidence and enthusiasm grow with each new piece is a reward in itself! In addition to our regular art classes, MoonStone also offers classes in the Healing Arts. These classes provide students with a chance to explore a variety of creative outlets and find their own creative voice. We believe that the Healing Arts are an important part of self-expression and personal growth, and we strive to provide an encouraging and supportive environment for students to explore these opportunities.

CHILDRENS YOGA AND ART

Children will discover their uniqueness through yoga, in a stable, comfortable, educational environment with age-appropriate poses, relaxation, and breathing exercises with a certified instructor. Fun and educational Yoga-inspired art activities are included as part of the class. Yoga will help enhance your child's coordination, flexibility, balance, and ability to focus and concentrate.

MAKE AND TAKE SIGNS

Make a one-of-a-kind hand-painted sign using your imagination and talent to create using acrylic paint or other media and finish them off with a unique vinyl transfer design or saying that expresses your own distinct personality. This is a creative and fun workshop and is perfect for a gift, friends, or birthday party group activity!

MERMAIDS BAUBLES WORKSHOP

Shellwork was first created by lonely sailors who would craft their treasures from the materials available to them to gift to their loved ones on their return voyage. Many fine examples reside in museums around the world. Melonie leads this fantastic workshop that utilizes the oceans treasures of tiny shells, pearls and other treasures from the sea from all over the world to create unique pendants, earrings, wine stoppers, and more. If you love the beauty of the ocean, and unique jewelry don't miss this memorable workshop.
