About Mt. Hope Learning Center

At Mt. Hope Learning Center, we are dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment for children and adults. We strive to offer quality education and resources to our community that will help them reach their full potential. Our mission is to provide our neighbors with the tools and skills needed to grow and have more successful futures. Working together with parents, volunteers, and other organizations, we can help the residents of our community break down barriers that may stand between them and their dreams.

Quality After School Program
Monday through Friday at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School, students in kindergarten through 5th grade engage in exciting, educational activities. This program offers homework help, STEAM, and academic enrichments also such as crafts, music, theater, sports, and much, much more.

Morning Care
If your children attend MLK and you need to go to work early, MHLC offers care between 6:30 am to 8:30 am. Breakfast is provided.

STEAM inclusion
(Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics): throughout the week in the after-school program STEAM classes are facilitated. In addition to acquiring valuable skill sets, students are able to earn “STEAM Bucks”, which can be spent on educational toys at our STEAM Store.
